Introduction
This fun & little Qt-based application makes it easier to perform (simulate) a death-grip with your Nokia device. Most of e.g. N97 mini users are unable to reproduce death grip even with the help of videotutorial (Engadget) by Apple, and therefore this application is for them to experience this famous signal-loss.
NOTE #1: This is just a simulator and doesn’t affect your network performance anyway.
NOTE #2: This is beta. Compiled once, tested on N97 mini and Nokia 5230.
Howto install & use
- You must have Nokia S60 5.x based device (sorry N900 not supported – yet…)
- Download for Symbian and install by using OVI suite
- QutomoANTENNA contains Nokia Qt smart installer so it may ask a permission to download some additional Qt libraries.
- Start QutomoANTENNA from application menu
- Select “Death-grip mode” and press & hold Death-grip button
- Have fun!
I tried to install QutomoAntenna on my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, but the Nokia QT Smart installer fails to install (after asking for permissions to go online find components).
I guess it doesn’t install any of the required QT libraries.
Any help would be appreciated!
